Hey Guys! How are ya? Well, like I said last time, I haven't been making many cards these days, mainly doing a lot of reading when I have time. However, I did have time to check out Tracy's blog and her sketch, ESS # 44, and this idea just came to me when I was at work. My SIL and I have been "Vampire" book "crazy" ever since fighting over the "Twilight" series books. (We were sharing them and she reads faster than me, hence her phone calls of "When will you be done with the book?" LOL!) So this is a tribute to all the "cool" "vampire" books we have been reading. (I'm reading the "Queen Betsy" series by MaryJanice Davidson and she is reading the "Sookie Stackhouse" books by Charlaine Harris....Maybe then we'll switch?)..I guess you could say this "hero" is Edward (from the "Twilight" series), Eric Sinclair (of the ""Queen Betsy" series), or Bill (of the "Charlaine Harris" fame)...
No matter what "vampire" book you are reading, they all pretty much have the same cool night-time scene, so I created my own here. I started out with a scrap of white cardstock that I stamped my vampire, moon, and trees on, coloring the background black and brown, to look like night-time. The "stars" were created with a white gel pen. Then I used some punches and patterned paper, and "voila" all done...My favorite part of this card is the "drippy goo" blood that I placed under my sentiment. I also love the "pop" of red color that it adds to the card..(The inside of the card is also "red". I just turned a red A Muse notecard inside out)..Enjoy! and have a great evening!
Card Deets: Images by A Muse and SU (moon); "Got" sentiment by A Muse; "blood" sentiment written by hand; patterned paper by SU; notecard by A Muse; Martha Stewart and Marvy punches; Copic and SU markers; Memento black inkpad; white gel pen.
Uh, what's not to love about this card. Hello.... it's got Edward in it! LOL! Seriously though this is a *great* card Kim. Soooo glad you are enjoying those Twilight novels. Only 118 more days until the next movie!!
