Hi All! What are you up to? Getting ready for a long weekend?..Well, we had a "blast" on Saturday. So much fun. I really miss living in San Francisco, which I could move my house into the "City". LOL!
Here is a card I made for a Yahoo swap I'm in using Tracy's ESS #43. I veered off the sketch just a little bit to make my 4th of July card. For this card, I layered my red and white cardstock "strips", stamping my images on white cardstock and adhering it to the middle of my card. Then I used my punch to cut a blue square out of cardstock, stamping it with white stars and placing it on the upper left of my card. I paper-pieced the kids' outfits with patterned paper and drew my "stitching lines" with a black SU marker. The star brads add a nice finishing touch, I think. Can you believe this weekend is the 4th of July?
Card Deets: Images by A Muse and unknown stamp (fireworks); sentiment by A Muse; notecard by A Muse; cardstock from SU (white) and stash (blue); patterned paper from A Muse, Klutz and stash; Memento black inkpad; Copic and SU markers; Spica clear glitter pen; star brads from Target's dollar bins; star twinkle sticker by A Muse.
What a fun & festive 4th of July card Kim! I think it works perfectly with this week's sketch. You are the queen of scene cards. Hope you and your family have a fantastic holiday. Thanks for playing along with this week's challenge.
Hugs,
Tracy
