Hey, Guys and Happy Tuesday! I am starting to feel better about life and my card-making "mojo" may be returning (fingers crossed). Things are looking up and I am definitely making some changes in my life. In fact, everything may be settled by this Friday (Well, almost)....I'll share all these "juicy" plans with you guys as soon as I tell some "loved ones" in person first....Are you in suspense? LOL!....

On another (sadder) note, I just found out that my Aunt/Godmother has breast cancer. It was quite a shock to us all, as my Aunt is in her late 60's, early 70's. Breast cancer, and cancer in general, runs on my Mom's side (sister, grandma, grandpa). My Aunt and I are not very close, but I wanted to let her know that she is in my thoughts and I am thinking about her. Tracy's Sketch Challenge to the rescue! I used Tracy's sketch for my layout (www.eatsleepstamp.typepad.com) along with some    new and old A Muse images.  I wanted to make a simple card with just a touch of color without my card looking too "Halloween-ish", so I colored in my poppy with orange and left "caterpilar" un-colored, drawing more attention to the flower. Hey Guys! It's been a very fun, and very busy weekend. Will and I had a blast last night having a little time to ourselves (dinner and seeing Grease). We all got home a little after midnight and were exhausted. Tyler wanted me to promise we would not have another anniversary for a long, long, time because he said he missed us too much, so today was all about the kiddies. We took them to see "Monsters vs. Aliens" in 3D. It was really good and we all had fun. Then it was the kids choice to go to Jack in the Box and Will wanted to go to Barnes and Nobles and pick up a reference book. And I did manage sticking to my diet, having a teriaki bowl for lunch. I have been doing pretty good on my diet and lost 6 pounds so far (in 3 weeks). Funny, how long it takes to lose weight and how quickly it takes to gain it. LOL! I'm trying to just take it a step at a time....

My sister was a sweetie having bought me a belated birthday gift. She bought me a gorgeous sterling silver and diamond chip bracelet and a Gwen Stefani make-up bag that was red with kitty faces and the word "meow" all over it, so here's a card I made as a "thank you" to send to my sister, using Amy R's Friday sketch: www.prairiepaperandinktypepad.com/amyr/9/03/friday-sketch-55.com. I've been attracted to Asian designs lately, so I finally bought A Muse's "Sushi" set, the first set that attracted me to A Muse to begin with. I also wanted to keep ths card mainy white to showcase the stamped images and patterned paper....Well, so much to do yet...so little time. LOL!...Have a great evening!

I Love You More Than....Happy Anniversary to Us!

Hey Guys. It's late Friday night and after dozing in bed watching "Pride and Prejudice", I'm now in the kitchen/living room area with my puddy tat, Moxie. I just love it when the house is quiet. Usually, it's a mad house. LOL! Thanks for all of your great comments about my cards. You guys are awesome!

Things are still "up in the air" on this end, but I put some changes in motion, which may materialize as early as next week. I'll keep you guys posted when I have more information. I decided to just try to let things go for now....something that is very hard for me to do 'cause I'm such a control freak. Ha! Ha!....Besides, I am sooo excited about this weekend, I can't even contain my excitement!...Why you ask? It's my wedding anniversary on Sunday, 3/29/09. 12 years of wedded bliss to my baby!...Woo Hoo!...I'm really proud of my marriage and my family. It's the one "rock" in my life right now. I'm really, really lucky, cause I have been blessed with the best Husband and Children that I could ever imagine. I tell you, Girls, Will is just such an amazing person. I can't do justice describing him. He is funny, smart, sexy, kind-hearted, patient, easy going...I could go on and on....He has the most beautiful, caring heart of anyone I have ever met and I am so lucky that he picked me to be his wife. In fact there is nothing he wouldn't do for me, our family, my family (mom, sisters), my friends, even strangers. We have been through a lot in the last 14 years, but our love, our marriage is stronger than ever and I'm really proud to be Kim Raymundo...

The biggest picture I have in my mind about his loving heart, is when my beloved Grandma was on her death bed 10 years ago. We were all there at the hospital and Will stood by my side, by my family's side, for 8 hours, standing right next to her bed, comforting me, my family and saying "good-bye" to Grandma. None of the other "Men-folk" married into my family did that. They were lucky if they were there for 30 minutes or so..This is the kind of man that I am married to...He may not always understand my choices, but he always stands by me, no matter what...Grandma told me years ago that Will is a good man and to make sure that I treat him right...I am, Grandma. I am.....

And now that I've bored you guys to death, here is the anniversary card I made for my Honey. It represents some of my favorite things in life (1) card making, (2) chocolate and (3) cross stitching. I hope you enjoy it....I'm gonna hop to bed now. We are going into the City to spend time with my SIL and FIL. Then we are gonna have them baby-sit for us so we can go out to dinner and see Grease and celebrate "Us"...Nite...Nite....

Hey Guys. Sorry I haven't been around much...I don't really know what is up with me these days, but I'm wanting to make some changes in my life, and I don't know which way to turn. I'm kinda confused and I really don't like that "up in the air", "don't know what to do" feeling. I'm telling ya, it's blocking my card making mojo! LOL!

I did have time to join in on Tracy's Sketchy Thursday this weekend. Here is my take on Tracy's Sketch. I had to come up with a "bird" card for a Yahoo swap I'm in, so of course I had to use "tiny bird" who is one of my very favorite A Muse stamps. He goes with any image and I'm using him more and more these days. I also made my own "lemon" DP using a SU set from my stash...And as an extra bonus, here is a picture that Tyler drew. Can you recognize who this is? My little artist is getting pretty good. He drew this picture this morning while watching SpongeBob...Have a great day!

Hi Everybody and Happy "Hump Day" as my daughter says. I don't even know if she knows what "Hump Day" means, but we all do, right?.....Thank God it's Wednesday....Well, here's a card that I made today for Tracy's Sketchy Thursday Challenge. I also needed a "Hi" or "Hello" card for a Yahoo swap I'm in, so technically, this is a "two-fer". LOL! The carefree flies in the background is actually a stamp that I stamped repeately on a chiffon pink A Muse notecard. I really like the colors on this card..I'm heading out for work now, so I'm keeping this short and sweet. Hope you enjoy the card and have a great day!

You Crack Me Up

Hey you guys. How is your weekend going? We had a fun day of bowling, now that we are all nice and healthy. Then it was time for a quick bite at Jack in the Box and shopping at Macy's. I didn't find the shoes I needed, but I did wander to the MAC counter to check out their limited edition Hello Kitty Line. Of course I had to buy something, right? I still had that that Macy's giftcard my sister gave me for Christmas, believe it or not. I also want to let you guys know that I am officially back on my diet, for one week now.  I am so proud of myself! I lost 4 1/2 pounds! Yay! My goal is to lose 30 total. I know I can do it. I've done it before. It's just keeping it off.....LOL....So I hope you guys don't mind if I briefly keep you all updated here. I think it will help keep me on the "straight and narrow"...HA! HA!

Hoppy Easter Bunny

Hi All. I'm gonna make this a quick post because I'm at work...I'm happy so say that Will and the kiddies are on the mend and so am I. I still have a bit of a cough and phelm, but it is greatly reduced. Work, on the other hand, is still nutsy with my co-worker missing so much work, it's just me and the doctor a lot these days. We are looking into getting some more help and I am determined to maintain my sanity. LOL!...I just keep reminding myself (and the doctor!) that I am one person, right?

With that said, here is a card I made over the weekend for Tracy's Sketchy Thursdays. I alterned it a bit from the original sketch because I accidentally ripped the patterned paper in the upper left hand corner and I was trying to cover it up without it looking too obvious....Have a great day!...Remember Spring is here and it's Wednesday!

You Make Life Sweet

Hi All. Sorry I haven't been around much. We have been dealing with bouts of the flu in our house, not fun at all. What's even harder is taking care of sick kids when you are sick yourself...Just makes me thankful when we are all healthy and feeling good....With that said, I'm gonna make this a short and sweet post so I can lie down...

I had a chance to play with Amy R's Friday Sketch Challange #61 on her blog www.prairiepaperandink.typepad.com. Here is her sketch and here is what I came up with. This card just kinda started taking on a mind of it's own and ended up being more intricate than I originally intended. I also tried my hand at using "Spring" colors, which I'm not sure about. Will says it looks more like a "baby card". What do you think?...I hope you like this card and are planning a fun weekend.

Springtime and Easter ~ A Muse style

Hey all. Did you have a fun day today? Well, I did. I took Tracy Falco's amazing "Springtime & Easter A Muse" class at the Stampers Warehouse in Danville, CA. It was sooo much fun! And the cards were just awesome! I also had a chance to meet a sweet lady, Carol Cabezas, who was stamping next to me (Hi, Carol!) And of course Tracy and her mom are great, too! (Hi Tracy!...Hi Tracy's Mom! I had fun! Thanks!). Here are two of the six cards we made in today's class. I hope you like them as much as I do. Don't they just scream "Spring"?...

Gonna say "good-night" now and attend to my angel. My big, boy, Tyler has the flu. It wasn't bothering him earlier today. In fact, Will took the kiddies to the Jungle while I was at the class. Now, all Ty wants to do is lie down and sleep. He has a bit of a fever...Have a good night...
