Hope Your Birthday is a Ball

Hey Gals. Whatya up to tonight? We stayed home all day today and I had some crafting time with my babies (in between "mounds" of laundry. LOL!)...Here's a card I whipped up for you, using Tracy's Sketchy Challenge # 19. Yes, another birthday card. This one went a lot smoother than the last one. Yay! I couldn't wait to use this image and sentiment from New Clear Dollar Stamps' "Spring Critters" set. And to make things even easier, I grabbed my scrapbook paper pack from Die Cuts with a View that I bought at Michael's ages ago. What's great about paper packs is that everything coordinates, so you don't have to spend a lot of time hunting for that perfect sheet of patterned paper, wondering if it will all match. Easy Peasy. I also paper pieced the ball to match the background paper. I just love the bright, birthday colors of this card. I hope you do, too...I promised Tyler a game tonight so I'm gonna go. It's just one hour until his bed time and then some quiet time for myself. Yay!....Have a good night.

Happy (Belated) Birthday

Hi All! Can you believe it's Wedneday already. Happy Hump Day!...Well, I am happy to say that this week is nothing like last week. Thank God... And the Doctor I work for is going to be out of town on conferences Thursday and Friday. Hurray! Don't be too excited for me, though, cause I have a list of things to do. LOL!....

Well here's a card I made for Tracy's sketchy Thursday. I don't know why, but I find making birthday cards very intimidating. I usually just draw a complete blank without one idea in my head. This card started out as a Spring card that turned into a Spring birthday card, for those lucky enough to have a birthday clear of any major holidays. Ha Ha! You could easily change the sentiment to "Hello", "Thinking of you", "Thank you", etc....In fact, I may try that myself!... Have a great evening!

Happy St. Patty's Day

Hi All. Happy Monday. I'm at work right now, so I have to make this post short and sweet...I needed a "Green" ATC and a St. Patty's Day card for two Yahoo swaps I'm in, so here's what I came up with. I started with my ATC and turned it into a card. Have a great day!

Happy Spring

Hi All. Have you been having a good day? We went to the mall by our house cause I needed some new slacks for work. We also hit Target where they had scrapbook stuff on sale. Yay! I picked up some gorgeous patterned paper and cordinating ribbon. Then it was off to our favorite chinese restaurant for a lunch special. I had a little card making time, too....Just doesn't get better than this.....

Well, here's a card I made I while back that I found in my stash. Can you tell which medium(s) were used? The entire card was made with.......with........(Can you guess, yet?).....with.....STICKERS!...Can you believe it?...In fact this was a kit from Mrs. Grossman's which included the paper as well. Mrs. Grossman gets full credit with the design. I thought this design was so cute, I saved this card, intending to make additonal cards or dupicate this design using rubber stamps. I don't know if I told you guys this, but I am a sticker "freak". I started collecting stickers when I was 9 years old and I still love them....My babies need me so I gotta go. Have a good evening!

Hoppy Easter

Hey Everybody. What have you been up to today? Will was such a Sweetie. He took the kids out and about today so I could get some much needed R & R. (I was so dead tired this morning that even taking a shower was exhauting. LOL!) While he and the kids were gone I whipped up this card to share with you guys. This was my first attempt at watercoloring and it took a little time to get it right. Every inkpad I have was causing the images to smear. I finially used a SU inkpad, which was kinda hit or miss. On a few images it worked on on others it didn't. I got everything to work for this card and I'm happy with the results. I hope you are, too. Have a great evening!

Running Sick

Hey you guys. Are you ready for the weekend? I sure am. I'm hoping to get rid of this cold bug and get my energy back. Things are still crazy at work, but I don't need to deal with that until next week, right?...

Well, here's a card I made last weekend using that same "Running Sick" set from Our Craft Lounge. These are the images that drew me to this set to begin with.  For this card, I imagined a race between the toilet paper roll and the nose. Of course the toilet paper was gonna win. In fact he even took off his socks and shoes so he could run faster! LOL! I made the "finish" sign by inking up part of the sign from A Muse's "carrot stand" stamp, extending the polls and writing "FINISH" by hand. I also stamped "tiny bird" and the socks onto white cardstock, cutting them out and adhering them to the card so they would have a "cleaner", "non-patterned" look. In the inside of the card I stamped "Running nose? Got the runs? Slow down...Get some rest". I really like how this card came out. I hope you do, too....Have a great night!

Running Nose? Got the runs?

When I saw this stamp set by Our Craft Lounge, I couldn't help but laugh. Can you imagine giving this type of a "Get Well Card" to a sick friend? It's bound to have the friend feeling better in no time. Speaking of feeling under the weather, the kids and I all have colds: sneezing, coughing, etc. We'll see how long Hubby Will can go without getting it. LOL! Aren't I mean? (Notice how my cards are reflecting my life these days?)

For this card, I brought out my new 6" x 6" paper pad from Basic Grey's Offbeat collection. Have I told you guys how much I love this paper? This design kinda reminds me of the 70's, with some black touches to make it more modern. Will says it kinda has a Victorian feel. What do you think? I used Tracy's Sketch Challenge for the layout and paper-pieced the kleenix box to match the rest of the card. Can you believe the only "A Muse" on this card is the ribbon? Shocking, I know...I hope you enjoy this card and have a great day off.

Spring is in the Air

Hey Everybody. We ended up seeing Coraline in 3-D yesterday. What an amazing movie! The story, effects, color and 3-D were awesome. I was in awe. Some of the images were so dimentional, you could almost catch them. If you have a chance, check it out......

Well, I got some more new goodies yesterday, so I whipped up these cards. Isn't the  paper on this first card yummy? It's from Basic Grey's Offbeat collection. When I look at this paper, I see carrots, so I had to use these new A Muse Spring images to go with it. My daughter, Hailee, said "Why isn't anyone buying the carrots?" so I came up with this second card. I hope you enjoy these cards and have a great day.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hey All! Saturday finally got here and it's Valentine's Day! Hurray! Anything special planned? It's an ugly rainy day here in Sunny California, so we may take the kids to dinner and a movie, kinda a Valentine's Day for all 4 of us...I'm fighting off a bug which I blame on too much work...LOL!...so I'm gonna try and take it easy this weekend. I also had a surprize call from my boss last night thanking me for my hard work this past **crazy** week and telling me how much she appreciates me. Made me feel pretty good....

I just couldn't wait to share all these beautiful ATCs I received from these talented A Muse Ladies. And what a better time then to post this on Valentine's Day, right? I also wanted to wait until these Ladies received their ATCs in the mail from me....Well, my "Public" is clammering for my attention, so I gotta go. Ruff Day?

Hey you guys. This could be the title to my last two days of work. Yesterday was an absolute "zoo" at work and Mondays are typically a "catch up" day. I swear, everybody and their mother wanted to pick out glasses yesterday and that is not a simple in and out process. Then today my co-worker called in sick, so I had to be two people. (There are only two of us "workers" at the office plus the doctor we work for). I'm sad to say I forgot to bring my roller skates today. LOL!

The good news is I do get bonus $$$ for yesterday's sales and I did have time to whip up this card for you guys. These images are from the same "Pat the Dog" set I used on my last card. I couldn't resist this cute fire hydrant and the little "censored" sign. Of course I had to put a little "A Muse" in my card...Can you find it?....No, it's not the sentiment. It's the POO!...Ha Ha!..**chuckle**...**Chuckle**...Get it?...I got this idea from a lady's card on Splitcoast Stampers. Sorry, I can't remember who came up with this idea, but it's basically the ice cream scoop from A Muse's ice cream truck stamp, minus the cone! I just colored my "poo" in brown and cut it out just outside the lines, glueing it in front of my sign. I think the cute little flies above the sign give it a nice touch, don't you? The flies are part of the "censored" sign as well....A Muse is also coming out with a new sentiment, "Momma said there'd be days like this", which would also be perfect for this card. Their new spring images are coming out tomorrow and I pre-ordered all of them...Shhhh! Don't tell Will....I gotta run...Have a great evening!
