I was soooo excited when I finished making this card, I couldn't wait to share it with you! What does this card remind you of??? Come on! I know you know the answer....Here's a hint....It's a game...That's right. Candyland.... I was playing Candyland with Will and our kids last week, staring at the cute board, and I thought, "Hey, this would make a cute card." I also noticed how much the new "swirly cone" stamp from A Muse resembled the cone in Candyland, so this idea was "burned" into my brain. (Did anyone else notice this resemblance or is it just me?) This card came together pretty easily, except for the "candy" background, which had me "stumped". I orignally stamped the "candy assortment" image directly onto the card, but it looked too busy and crowded. I opted instead to stamp and color the "candies" onto white cardstock, cutting them out and gluing them onto my card. This way was more work, but the "candies" look more "spread out". After all, in Candyland, you need a candy background, right?... Since this is a card for my husband, the "Come play with me" sentiment from my A Muse stash added the perfect touch. You could easily make a "G" version of this card by changing the sentiment to "You're Sweet". This would even make a cute birthday card....What do you think?...I'm pretty proud of myself!..Hope your day is filled with "sweet" surprizes!
